To prevent predatatory mite material from drying out
The humdity mats (12 x 10cm) can be used to keep the material in which the Dutchy's are supplied moist. Especially in dry circumstances it is beneficial to place the moistened mates first and release the dutchy's on top of it. The material also contains eggs and larvae of the predatory mites which can only continue to develop in a humid environment. It is also possible to use the mite boosters or release box to prevent the material from drying out.
